Book 5: Diversion

The deadly cunning of an ancient monster should never be underestimated. Alexandria may have lost a kingdom, but not her zeal. Her former captive, Andy, is missing, sparking a desperate search for him. Neither Herald nor Shade know if he has been corrupted by Alexandria or, heaven forbid, Kyrios. All they can do is hope to find him before anyone else does. Rumors of a deeper alliance between Alexandria and Kyrios have Herald on edge, leaving Jeremy little choice but to trust the fugitive nurse, Hellen, in a tenuous agreement. Shade’s quest to find his brother is jeopardized by an unexpected threat, forcing him to choose between saving Andy or averting disaster.

Book 6: Refrain

Friends are a luxury few in Ryan’s position can afford. As valuable as they are, they also serve as a liability, and one Kyrios has proven willing to exploit. After the shocking revelation of the true nature of the monstrous attack on Port City, Ryan can no longer allow his presumed death to be used as a weapon against him. As dangerous and risky as it is, he is determined to reveal the truth to his last remaining unharmed friend, Bridget, before Kyrios strikes again. Ryan’s monstrous form forces him to rely on Anna to set up a proper meeting. Yet, Bridget’s own budding musical career complicates matters as she seemingly ignores her friends and family to pursue it. Ryan is forced to watch and protect from a distance, waiting for the perfect opportunity to show himself. However, Kyrios and his forces do not sit idle. Alexandria schemes against Herald, discovering a potential weakness in the tenuous relationship between Bob and his former assassin group. At the same time, she and the Arms of Kyrios begin to show great interest in the young Daily monsters. Ryan soon finds himself the center of unwanted attention from vengeful forces, leading to a confrontation too close to home.
